Now, have I told you that I plucked two more of my wisdom teeth? Yes, I must be crazy to go through it all over again. This time round, it was worse. The drilling, the pushing, the pulling. It was crazier this round. Bottom tooth was bigger, harder. More drilling, more pressure. Fragments of the teeth were flying all over the place. I felt them on my cheeks, in my mouth. Name it, it was simply everywhere. My cheek swelled up, when it did not previously. And now, 4 days after the extraction, my jaw feels cramp. Sheesh~ Nevertheless, long break from work of course.

And oh, went to watch The Tourist. Ooh~ Johnny Depp indeed. Much loved. It was relatively an interesting movie, however, it wasn't as fantastic as I thought it will be, based on what I have been hearing from others. I did not expect Johnny Depp to be the 'person' throughout the movie. I couldn't figure it out at all. I guess I should have paid closer attention to little details that give the storyline away.

Bollywood Veggies is amazing! Take some time to take a trip there if you guys are interested. :)

When your boyfriend's a tech geek, and you're not, over time, you'll eventually be converted into one.

Somehow, talks about camera and camcorders came into the picture yesterday as we were walking around City Square. All I did was sharing with Love on how I've always wanted a Polaroid camera. And ta-da, he started his search for a Polaroid camera and started bidding on e-bay. Eventually told him that there was a particular model of Polaroid that I have always liked, and ta-da, another search began. Haha! Efficient much? :p

And as we were walking around Best looking for a USB Hub, we ended up looking at camcorders instead. Even the trip to Mustaffa Centre ended up searching for a camcorder, although we stumbled upon this really cool-looking speaker (I'm contemplating if I should buy it for my new room when I move house).

I was searching for the Polaroid that I like, and I stumbled upon the usage of a camera that produced really sharp, pretty photos. Googled it and found the picture of how the cammie cam looks like. And wah, it looks nice. Haha! I don't quite understand the specs, maybe I should leave that to the tech geek. :o

And wow, the things I end up wanting.
- Camcorder
- LUMIX camera
- laptop cooler
- Speaker-cum-docking station

If only money could fall down from the sky.

Movie of the week

Last minute plan: to catch Centurion @ AMK Hub. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't hear about it before. But nevertheless, when it's a recommendation from the Love, more often than not, it's a relatively good movie. And I was right.

First of all, it was an M-18 movie. It has been a while since I was stopped by the cinema staff but ya, he asked for my identification. Zzzz~ I handed over my driving license and he was stunned after that. Ho ho ho~

Anyway, the movie was good, just as I expected when I saw the trailer while in the queue to purchase the movie tickets. The massacre scene was awesome. It was a whole load of gore. Chopping off heads, slashing bodies, poking eyeballs etc.

Storyline was, there were definitely some underlying morals in the show, especially with regards to loyalty, leadership and friendship. However, there were definitely some 'expected' scenes where the soldier sought shelter in a lady's house and there were some chemistry, in which, the soldier went back for the lady. Well, you know, that sort of things.

All in all, 3 stars!

Well, normally i'd do some flashback of 2010, when it's the start of the new year. But I guess doing that again will be rather boring. Then again, it's been so long since I blogged that I just don't know what to blog about. And here I am ranting about what I should be blogging about.

It's going to be a tough year ahead. So many challenges that I see in various aspects. Getting overwhelming. And I just dunno why.

A whole new world

A few things have been happening. And even though i'm able to blog on the go, somehow, i just cant seem to find the time to do so. i suck. haha!

And at this point in time, as i'm typing this entry, i feel like pooping but i can't leave the office yet as my colleague is not back. *goosebumps*

Anyway, dearest Akhim has started work. Same workplace as me but different departments. It feels good to be able to meet him for lunch almost every day. It feels like i'm the loyal and filial wife preparing the meal for the husband. heee~

And oh, i got news from my sister that my mum is all ready to marry me off next year. she said that she's planning to marry me off after we move house. Ok Mum, you are ready to marry me off so does that mean, u'll sponsor me? hu hu hu~~~~~

Dark chocolate peppermint or orange?

Chill session with the Love tonight at Coffer Bean @ HollandV. Contemplation over a new battery pack, discussions over fish tanks and last but not least, marriage.

It definitely made me realize that guys are not as dumb or ignorant as we girls think. They are just damn good at feigning ignorance. Haha! All these while when you think that they didn't realize when you threw tantrums or showed 'attitude', they actually do. It's just that they don't say it, but they are very aware of it.

So many things to consider, so many things to do. Walking on unchartered grounds. Wondering what the outcome will be like. The fears, the anxieties, the uncertainties. I was told that sometimes I tend to focus on the negative too much. Maybe I do.

But that's the beauty of it isn't it? When two individuals of different personalities come together, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. The best part is they complement each other, putting together a very beautiful, ideal picture after that.

A story of a boy and girl

This is a story of a boy and a girl..

What seems like two individuals from worlds apart..Nevertheless, they managed to overcome the trials and tribulations together.

The boy has a very strong interest in dance. However, the girl feels like she's a hindrance to his interest, his lifestyle. And prolly, he deserves someone better who can enjoy it with him.

It is such a dilemma that the girl is in. As much as she wants the boy to do something that he's passionate about, giving him the support, but somehow it just doesn't seem to match.

The girl just wishes that there's something that she can do. Well maybe, she's not the right one.

Numb lips and tongue

Gone are two of my wisdom teeth..it was such a quick procedure. But it was a lil scary to be hearing the sound of the drill yet I can't see a single thing. The dentist definitely injected a lot of anesthetic into me, considering that lips are still feeling numb even up till now. But the nurses were so nice. :) It feels good to be receiving such good service an treatment from them.

And they did not tell me that my bottom tooth was above the nerve too. And there was the possibility of nerve injury. Thanks eh.

4 types of meds given, am supposed to finish all of it. Eeek~

Headed to Tong Seng for dinner as Sayang was hungry. Ordered fish porridge thinking that it was really porridge, but I was fooled. It was rice in soup. I couldn't eat at all with the gauze in my mouth. It was such a horrible feeling. I lost my appetite after that.

I still have two more on the right. haish~ do I really need to go through it all over again?!?!

Bid farewell to my wisdom

I have got to bid farewell to two of my wisdom teeth any moment now. Oh the emotions that are running within me, I so cannot explain. Anxious, nervous, fear. I hope I don't bleed to death. I'm alone now, it should be ok rite? I should be able to manage this on my own. Soft diet after this. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I had gone for all 4 extractions instead. Oh well, it's too late now...

So long my friends.....

Comfort Zone

Sometimes, the ones whom we love have totally different life principles from us. Some are negotiable, some can e compromised, some can be embraced, while there are others that just cannot be tolerated or to be in comfort with. Then, what do u do? And what if religious values and teachings are in contradiction to the their life principles? You know that you're not comfortable with it but bringing up the concerns or talking abt it will only result in arguments and unhappiness for both parties. However, not bringing it up will cause unhappiness and discomfort to you. Dilemma isn't it?

Of Weddings and Engagements

Yes, another wedding and another engagement that I had to attend this week. Two weeks back2back and they are both pple whom I've known personally. Taking that big step in life is no joke. You must be very sure and certain of your decision and must be prepared in all possible aspects.

Undeniably, money is always the issue. You need to have enough money in order to do the wedding. I overheard mum telling dad that the 'market' rate now is $7k minimum, and that the groom-to-be should at least have $10k in hand. That sounds like a lot of money doesn't it? sheeesh~

Met up with Ms S in town. The plan to watch Eat,Pray,Love failed miserably considering that the timing were all pretty off. And there was no way I could make it in time to Vivo. So, decided to have waffles at Gelare instead. Yes, it was my first time. And I LOVE it ok..it was so fantastic!! yummy yummy. monopoly dealed after that.

It was a good evening spent. Got the opportunity to know her better and to be sharing grievances with. Time well spent indeed.

New world

It's been a while hasn't it. Purchased my iPhone4 after much persuasion and convincing by Sayang.haha! IPhone couple now, and it sure feels good to have everything at my fingertips. I'm even writing this entry on my iPhone. Yes, believe it or not.

Two weddings today. Unknowingly, the first was my pri sch mate. Sheesh~ the second wedding for the day was my cuzzin's wedding. And yes, he's a guy, my age, and married. It feels a bit off Coz both weddings tt I attended today were pple whom I saw them when we were all very much younger n now they've moved on to another stage in their life. It makes me wonder, when will my turn come then? Relatives keep asking "so when's your turn?" simple reply from me will always be, tmr or next week. I think my parents know my time's coming. Perhaps..

It feels like an emo, much thinking night tonight.

The past few days of 'spending time' with you has always been with others. There's hardly a time when we can sit down and spend time together properly and have nice chats together. Conversations at night have became a 3minutes phonecall and nothing more.

And tonight, somehow, I just feel that words have been reduced. I felt that perhaps, I'm not good enough for you. That perhaps, sometimes, I'm just hoping for too much. Or that perhaps, sometimes, I'm unable to deliver and giving you the care that you probably need.

Life is a dilemma

Why must there be so much drama in life? Maybe producers of future soap dramas should interview people on the street instead for the storyline of their new production.

I've always thought that the middle child in the family will end up having to play mediator amongst different people. But how come, me, the youngest, end up in doing so? There's the parents, the first sister, the second sister and my own, self interest.

And when i'm still stuck in the dilemma, another 'drama' / 'dilemma' occurs. Do I look that nice to everybody? I just don't want to talk to anybody with regards to that issue now. Now, I know what my mum meant when she said "When people want to borrow big sum of money from you, or just want to borrow money from you, don't relent."

I feel so torn in between.

Big money, big money

Money matters are always ever so sensitive. I find myself in the middle of many people, many things. It's such a sensitive topic.

Often, some will approach me and ask if they could borrow money from me. To some, I refused to budge, to some I relented. However, what happens when it's a family member? I find myself ever so selective on who I give in too. Then again, past experiences of not paying back in time makes me bitter.

And I find it harder when the relative tells me, "Please don't let your mum know or any of my family members know ok?"

Why did I do Social Work?

A group of SW1101E students came to the hospital for their required agency visit for the module. This time round, it was different compared to the previous rounds as the students came in the morning, and not only that, there were more of them who were thinking of doing Social Work as a major.

I brought one student along with me for my intake interview and it made me to think again, why did I do social work. While I was sharing with her the things that we do in the hospital, the challenges faced as a medical social worker, I realised that I do find satisfaction in the job, but somehow I just did not realise it. She asked me, what made me to choose Social Work. And I just told her, if you want to help people, if you like to work and interact people, then I guess you’d want to do the job. Somehow, it’s a calling. And she asked if my parents were supportive in my decision to do Social Work. Just like any other parents, they were initially not very supportive, but over time, they began to accept it.

I wanted to help those in need. I wanted to make a difference in their lives. I wanted to do things that will be able to form smiles on their faces, which in turn makes me happy.

And have I achieved at least one of the above so far?

Yes.

My life for the past one week or so....
First of all, Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim friends!! :) Maaf zahir batin ye, makan dan minum yang tak sempat dibayar balik, harap halalkan k? :)

Raya this year was a little bit different. Why you may ask. Well, there are so many pple around me who are getting married in the next two months!!! Two of my guy cousins who are both my age are getting married in Oct, a female cousin who's a year older is getting married in Nov, my brother-in-law's sister is getting engaged in Nov. My oh my. And, although relatives have been asking me the same ol' question every year, and i give them the same ol' answer everytime, this time round, the frequency of the questions seem to be more. SHeesh~ And the question is: When is your turn? And my mum has blatantly and comfortably told my auntie that if God-willing, she'll want to marry me off next year. Well done Mummy! But I guess these issues are the central issues in our lives when you've reached a particular age or stage in life.

Sayang, thankiew very much for sharing what you've been thinking about with me. I truly appreciate it and I'm sure that it takes a lot of courage from you to share it with me, fearing what my response or reaction will be. And I've never doubt your love for me, don't worry. I love you very much and will always do. And I'm eager to start the new phase / journey in our lives together. You've never failed to amaze and impress me time and time again. And you'll be the most respected and commendable boyfriend ever. *muacks*

Friday, August 20, 2010

It was his birthday yesterday. But he wanted me to go down to Lot1 as he shared that he had a surprise for me. And the whole day I couldn't stop thinking on what the surprise could be.

Could it be a party? Could it be something that he bought for me i.e iPhone? Could it be a ring?

I tell you, I couldn't focus at work at all. And so, I made my way down to Lot1 to meet him and I was getting excited as the clock ticked by.

We met. We said hello. He gave me a small tub of Strawberry Meiji Yoghurt. And in my head I was thinking, "Is this the surprise that he was talking about? How disappointing." But he didn't say anything. But well, the yoghurt was really delicious niwae. And so we walked and walked and he said.
Akhim: I saw this brochure about mooncakes and watnots and as I was looking through, they were selling Halal snow skin mooncakes. And I was thinking of buying them for you and surprise you.
Me: Really?!?!?!?!
Akhim: Ya, but the thing is I left the brochure in camp. Haha~

Nonetheless, we still managed to find the shop. It was The Royals. And yes, the Love bought for me the snow skin mooncakes that I've been craving for. Yummylicious~ Thankiew Sayang!!!
