rmb i said i'd share something interesting that i learnt during history lecture? how the colonial powers act classified people according to different races, based on their face angles..and did u noe, long, long time ago..it was believed that there were no such thing as race..it was only during colonial times that this race issue came about..yup yup..how true is tat? find it out yourself..
it was said that 80 degrees was the 'perfect' face angle and this group was the caucasians..anything less than that, tt means, you're closer to the apes..as such, the Asians belong to the group that was much closer to apes..and so, that gave the colonial powers every reason to colonise us, with the reason that we are uncivilised and need guidance etc..hmm..oh well..
and it was herbert spencer that came up with the social darwinism thingy..he adopted charles darwin's idea and use it for humans..yup..
things that u learn in history lect..it just broadens your mind..heehee..
n wanna let u noe..as much as you're having hopes to build a future together, so am i..*muakcz*
